East opens Aftermarket Parts Facility in Kent, OH

In addition to East trailer parts, the facility will carry common parts for all makes and models, such as airbags, lights, wheel ends and more.

East Manufacturing, a producer of aluminum flatbed, drop deck, dump and refuse trailers as well as aluminum truck bodies and steel dump trailers, announced its new East Aftermarket Parts Facility, headquartered in Kent, OH. East tells us that the new facility will provide all East trailer parts as well as aftermarket parts and accessories common to all makes and all models for dealers, fleets, trucking companies and owner-operators.

Located close to an Eastern Ohio transportation hub, the new facility will house East cross-trained sales personnel with a warehouse based on usage, turns and demand. In addition to East trailer parts, the new facility will carry common parts for all makes and all models, such as airbags, lights, wheel ends and more.

With the new facility, East adds it can accommodate higher order volumes. The company said it will be able to offer an aftermarket alternative or stocked parts to reduce downtime by:

  • Stocking the most common long lead time parts; and
  • Using suppliers who will provide parts with quicker turnaround times such as dunnage racks, boxes, ECUs, rotors and other long-lead time parts.

According to East, an expanded showroom will have display areas for smaller common parts, impulse-buy items and company apparel. Customers will to have access to large screen monitors in the showroom to view enlarged schematics and exploded views.

“We know how important uptime is for our customers and we are committed to helping them acquire the parts they need,” said Tom Wiseman, president of East.
