BigRoad, a provider of fleet applications for trucking and motorcoach, and Sylectus, a business unit of Omnitracs Canada Inc., announced a joint commitment to help fleets and drivers improve hours-of-service (HOS) compliance, unveiling a new integration between BigRoad’s smartphone-based HOS logging solution and the Sylectus transportation management system (TMS).
The integration will allow drivers to use BigRoad’s electronic driver log and the Sylectus mobile application to capture duty status changes and send trip updates (arrive, load, empty) and paperwork back to the TMS—all from one smartphone or tablet. Fleets can then use the BigRoad/Sylectus integrated solution to track a driver’s location and available HOS in real time.
