Phillips Industries introduces combination single-, dual-pole CHARGE-BOX

Phillips Industries has introduced its new CHARGE-BOX, a STA-DRY Nosebox with both single- and dual-pole charging sockets. The unit offers the flexibility many fleets – particularly leasing fleets – require to power trailers with liftgates, which commonly have either a single- or a dual-pole connector, the company said

According to Phillips it is an innovative solution for a fleet that uses tractors with dual-and single-pole liftgate cables. Since the Phillips CHARGE-BOX contains both a single- and dual-pole socket, the fleet is guaranteed to have the right tractor every time. It was developed by Phillips Industries to provide a solution that fleet managers need to eliminate the high cost of pairing trucks and trailers with the correct liftgate or auxiliary power connections the company added.

The STA-DRY Nosebox has an impact-resistant non-corrosive, nylon housing with steel reinforced mounting collars. The single- and dual-pole sockets with solid brass pins are enclosed in zinc die-cast housings for durability. Mounting holes at each socket location are elongated for adaptability and each socket lid has a stainless steel hinge pin and spring for long life, according to Phillips. The combination single- and dual-pole CHARGE-BOX can be specified on new trailers or purchased through authorized Phillips distributors.
